<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Colloids of 4 Zn(OH)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>·ZnCl<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> have been codeposited with metallic zinc on steel under various electrodepositing conditions, in order to accelerate the formation of a stable corrosion product layer in a Cl‐ environment (in natural environment, the corrosion rate of zinc becomes constant after exposure of several months).</jats:p>
