Impulsive force and unsteady shock wave formation around a concave body in supersonic flow
説明
The parachute is a kind of the deceleration system, which is used in the wide range of speed from a subsonic to a supersonic flow. It is very difficult to catch the characteristics due to the flexibility, in which the shape is changing abruptly in early stage, while that is changing little after inflation. In this article, with the assumption of no shape change, the flow around the rigid cup-like body is simulated numerically in supersonic flow. Especially both the unsteady shock wave formation and the impulsive force are focused. It is cleared that the complex flow structure within the cup is caused by the interaction between the oncoming flow and the 'overflow', and that the unsteady wavy shock wave is formed due to it.
