Conditions of Aerial Photography to Reduce Doming Effect

説明

In this study, we investigated the relationship between aerial photography and data processing conditions and a systematic error called “doming” along with the positional accuracy of a created three-dimensional model. It was founded that when both overlap and sidelap ratios were high, the positional accuracy became low, and when both were low, the positional accuracy became low and the doming became large. It was also confirmed that both, oblique photography and different altitude photography were effective in reducing doming and improving positional accuracy. On the other hand, when the mixing ratio of photographs taken at different altitudes was too large, a decrease in positional accuracy was also observed.
