Optical converters based on ceramic crystal phosphor SrTiO3:Pr3+,Al for silicon sensors of ultraviolet radiation
Search this article
Description
A ceramic crystal phosphor SrTiO3:Pr3+,Al was produced by the sol–gel method with annealing at 1250 °C. Study of the structural and optical characteristics of SrTiO3:Pr , Al powders showed the presence of a high-intensity luminescence band with a maximum at 617 nm, the excitation spectrum of which occupies a broad region in the range of 300-400 nm. On the basis of this crystal phosphor a simple optical converter of ultraviolet radiation into the red region was developed. This made it possible to create a simple sensor for ultraviolet radiation with linear calibration characteristics based on standard silicon photocells.
