Design of a wideband 6-port MIMO antenna using leaf-shaped monopole and notch antennas
Description
This paper presents a design of a wideband 6-port antenna array which can be used for MIMO communication systems. In the designed antenna that operates over the frequency band of 7–10GHz, four leaf-shaped notch antennas and two leaf-shaped monopole antennas are employed as radiating elements. Performance of the antenna is evaluated by the finite difference time domain (FDTD) analysis and measurement. Over the design frequency range from 7GHz to 10GHz, the designed antenna has the reflection coefficient of less than −10dB, and the mutual coupling between ports are observed to be below −12dB.
