説明
Primary or secondary esophageal tuberculosis (TB) is a rare clinical entity accounting for about 3% of cases of gastrointestinal TB.1 Previous studies have found that esophageal TB might be associated with immune deficient states.2 However, thymomas are well known to cause immune dysfunction that manifests as hypo-gammaglobulinemia or decreased cellular immunity.3 The following is a report of a rare case of esophageal TB with sinus formation secondary to tuberculous mediastinal lymphadenitis in a patient with a thymoma.
