The Visualization Technique of Daily Corridor Noises
Description
The purpose of this study was to propose the long-term recording technique, which could visualize the temporal sequence of the environmental sound or acoustic events in realtime for all day in a corridor of our institute. The maximum and minimum sampling of a filtered waveform is a novel technique, which was applied to the acoustic guarding system for security, respecting one's privacy, with an approximate eighty-percent reduction of the memory consumption, but without an a priori threshold. This sampling technique has suggested another signal processing in order to understand the auditory cognitive mechanism.
