Two-Dimensional Susceptibility-Weighted Imaging (2D-SWI) of the Abdomen at 3T

Susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI) is a powerful technique to produce an image with a strong contrast of magnetic susceptibility in a high field. The technique is particularly useful in emphasizing blood vessels, for example, the vein and iron accumulated lesions in the brain. What can be found by applying the technique to the abdomen instead of the brain? We carried out a newly developed 2D breath-held SWI of the abdomen in the field of 1.5 T and 3 T and compared the results.
