Abstract 1. Extracellular recordings were made from single neurones in the rat nucleus accumbens and cerebellum. 2. Neurotensin, applied iontophoretically, had a potent inhibitory effect on dopamine-sensitive neurones in the nucleus accumbens while it had little action on cerebellar neurones.
