Opportunities to use various medical images have been increasing in recent medical fields, developments for computer-aided image diagnosis support system are required. In this research, we have been working on the development of a system that automatically detects joint positions from X-ray images of hands and quantifies temporal changes of joint space distances to support image diagnosis. In this paper, we propose a novel method to detect them by focusing on features amount on finger center lines, and obtained acceptable results in the experiment.
