Anomalous Polarization Rotation in Anisotropic Photonic Crystal Slab with Liquid Crystal

We fabricated a photonic crystal slab with liquid crystal, and observed the anomalous polarization rotation arising from the anisotropy enhanced by the guided resonance. It will be applicable to high performance polarization control devices.
