Estimation of the residual strain in magnetic metals by using the ultrasonic method
説明
Summary form only given. The magnetic properties of most ferromagnetic materials change with the application of stress. When a longitudinal ultrasonic wave is transmitted to the magnetic metals, a high frequency magnetic field is generated in the specimen from the reciprocal effect of magnetostriction. The high frequency magnetic field is generated in the nodes and the ultrasonic stationary state is formed in materials. The electromotive force (EMF) due to the high frequency magnetic field is observed by the sensing coil, which is called the magnetoacoustic effect (MAE). The purpose of this study is to estimate the residual stress in the 45 Permalloy rod specimens by transmitting ultrasonic waves.
