説明
High-T/sub c/ superconductor (HTS) is a promising material for terahertz (THz) electronics. The THz beam generation from YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7-/spl delta// (YBCO) thin film antennas using femtosecond (fs) laser pulses with a wavelength /spl lambda/ of around 1.55 /spl mu/m is demonstrated. The mechanism of the THz beam generation is revealed to be the one photon excitation process corresponding to an intraband transition in the in-gap state. The properties of the THz beam generation excited by the 1.55 /spl mu/m fs laser are similar to that excited by an 800 nm fs laser.
