説明
Inducing apoptosis in malignant cells and controlling ES cell differentiation using sub-nanosecond high voltage pulses have previously been investigated [1]. Results have stimulated the authors to develop a high-power, high frequency electromagnetic wave focusing system for apoptosis induction in cancer cells. Also, nonlinear lumped element transmission lines (NLETL) to generate RF pulses have in recent years gained much attention [2]. Our intention is to establish a cancer treatment system utilizing NLETLs by combining these two research areas. In this paper, we elucidate specific characteristics of output waveforms from the device of NLETLs considering medical application.
