Description
ABSTRACT
The dermo‐epidermal junction (parenchymal‐stromal junction) of a case of pilar tumor of the scalp was examined ultrastructurally.
Although the basal lamina showed the same picture as the normal basal lamina, there were areas which were cut tangentially.
The tangentially cut sections revealed a meshwork structure; this mesh work was related to the half desmosomes while the pores appeared to represent areas not related to the half desmosomes. The pore portions showed tumor cell components, lamina lucida, and dermal components.
