<jats:title>SUMMARY</jats:title><jats:p>A human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1)-positive male undergoing antiretroviral therapy was diagnosed with an axillary lymph node abscess caused by<jats:italic>Corynebacterium ulcerans</jats:italic>, and an environmental survey revealed that the patient's cat as the source of infection.</jats:p>
