説明

Abstract Copper sulfide (Cu x S) particles were synthesized via photochemical method from an aqueous solution containing copper sulfate (CuSO 4 ) and sodium thiosulfate (Na 2 S 2 O 3 ) of different compositions. The particles of various compositions were deposited in acidic medium (pH ∼ 3) for the duration of 1–2 hour photo irradiation. The amount of particles formed depended on the time of irradiation, about 75% of the reagents was converted into fine Cu x S particles. The synthesized particles were then characterized by powder XRD, showed the particle had crystalline nature and FTIR spectrum was analyzed.
