<jats:p>A tomographic method flow distribution estimation from the data of time of flight of pulsed sound waves among fixed stations is examined for the case of plane flow detection in a water tank. The errors due to the limited number of stations and the effects of the use of a pseudoinverse method are examined under practical conditions. Experimental results showed the usefulness of the method in these cases.</jats:p>
