説明
Seven patients in whom vascular tumors of the head and neck region were surgically extirpated following superselective embolization using Djindjian's method are presented. The interval between arterial embolization and surgery was determined by the hemodynamics of the vascular mass, but was usually two days. Temporary superselective embolization prior to resection is a highly successful technique for achieving a significant reduction in bleeding during surgery for vascular tumors of the head and neck area.
