A wireless multimedia DS-CDMA network based on adaptive transmission rate/power control
Description
This paper proposes a method of synchronously controlling transmission rate and power for wireless multimedia code division multiple access (CDMA) systems. In the wireless multimedia system, quality of service (QoS) such as bit error rate (BER), signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and delay time should be taken into account. The wireless CDMA system can achieve a flexible balance if transmission rate and power are both controlled by using channel traffic measurement. In this paper, the optimal control of transmission rate and power is derived by fractional programming. The numerical result show that the proposed method can achieve balance and satisfy the required quality of different media.
