A design of control systems considering parameter changing rate for power systems

Description

In this paper, a generator control system is designed and proposed by using the H infinity control theory and the gain scheduling theory based on LMI (linear matrix inequality). The gain scheduling theory is applied to dynamic systems, which are linearized by an affine parameter dependent model, and can adjust the controller to the present operating condition when the value of affine parameters can be measured in real time. The gain scheduling generator control system can cope with two or more operating points and has robustness in each operating point. Moreover, not only the parameter but also the parameter changing rate is given as system information in the proposed method when the control system is designed. Namely, we can deal with generator information, which is approximated or neglected in the conventional method. Therefore we can reduce the conservative performance and improve the robustness furthermore.
