Modeling of Site Diversity Gain Using Rain Radar Data in Japan
説明
Site diversity [1],[2] is an effective technique in order to avoid the effect of rain attenuation from the light rain to the heavy convective rain. Especially, in the future satellite system will be operated frequency at Ka band and above. Consequently, the rain attenuation will increase propotional to increase of frequency used. Several techniques has been proposed to improve satellite link service but site diversity still is the famous one. In this paper, we proposed the modeling of site diversity using rain radar data [3] all over Japan in order to evaluate spatial correlation [4],[5] around severe rain areas and interested areas. The spatial correlation results show proper direction and distance between stations dependence of spatial correlation and these properties are useful for site diversity design.
