<jats:p> <jats:italic>T</jats:italic> <jats:sup>onset</jats:sup> <jats:sub> <jats:italic>c</jats:italic> </jats:sub> of a sintered Bi<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>Sr<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>Ca<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>Cu<jats:sub>3</jats:sub>O<jats:sub>x</jats:sub> superconductor increased from 85 to 93 K after a shock‐compaction treatment. The shock synthesis of high‐<jats:italic>T</jats:italic><jats:sub><jats:italic>c</jats:italic></jats:sub> superconductors from a mixture of metal oxides was also attempted. A small amount of superconducting phase was successfully formed by shock synthesis for a Tl‐Ba‐Ca‐Cu‐O system. The <jats:italic>T</jats:italic><jats:sup>onset</jats:sup><jats:sub><jats:italic>c</jats:italic></jats:sub> of this material was about 75 K.</jats:p>
