A status report on engineering education in Japan
説明
During the past five decades, Japan has spent considerable effort and resources to stimulate and accommodate explosive growth in undergraduate enrolment in Japanese universities, driven in large part by the increasing fraction of students who complete high school and enter universities. Recent sharp increases in the number of students who continue to graduate school reflect increasing concentration on graduate programs. This paper outlines features of academic studies at both the undergraduate and graduate levels at leading Japanese national universities. It highlights some emerging trends.
