Handling, Addition and Snipping Human Interface: HASHI

Description

For a digital clay modeling, AR technique is applied with highly cost-performed devices; web camera, print-out markers, and a pair of chopsticks, or "hashi" in Japanese. A user can build up a particle based model by HASHI from scratch. Particles can be moved as a bunch or one-by-one with user's manipulation of chopsticks, and are prevented being scattered or collapsed with pseudo force mechanism. Because any force feedback is not provided as a light system, visual information of particle's color has an importance. When the odeling is finished, a triangular mesh B-rep solid model is generated via voxel smoothing and can be outputted by 3D printers. The genus of B-rep is decided by the size of voxel cube.
