Waveguide Filters Using Yttrium Iron Garnet Film
Description
Electromagnetic wave mode in the YIG film is applied to a TElo metal waveguide filter. The transmission characteristics of this filter have been analyzed by the mode matching technique and designed by choosing parameters of the YIG film. Maximum attenuation of more than 25dB is observed experimentally for the stop band filter at X band, and quality factor of more than IO3 is measured €or the band pass filter in the cut-off waveguide.
