説明
Abstract 1. 1. The effect of varied concentration of MgCl2 on the ATPase activity of cockroach actomyosin was investigated at varied pH and KCl concentration. 2. 2. It was found that at low KCl concentrations, e.g. 0·03 M or less, Mg activates the ATPase activity up to 1 mM at pH 5·9 or up to 2 × 10−5 M at pH 8·0. 3. 3. The onset of superprecipitation was accompanied by the Mg-enhanced ATPase activity, and that of clearing response was accompanied by the Mg-depressed enzyme activity.
