<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>The zinc ketones (III) which are formed from the iodides (I) with Zn‐Cu couple in the presence of HMPA undergo a Pd‐catalyzed reaction with the acid chlorides (II) to give the diketones (IV) which are summarized in a table.</jats:p>
