Unit Commitment Using Advanced Direct Load Control

説明

As measures against environmental issues such as global warming, we have targets for reducing future greenhouse gas emissions and increasing the ratio of non-fossil fuel power generation. In order to achieve these goals, renewable energy power generation has received special attention, but the introduction of PV has created a new problem, the duck curve phenomenon. Conventional research has utilized power storage equipment (ESS) and demand response (DR) for load leveling, but it is difficult to achieve ideal load demand due to uncertainty by customers. In this paper, we propose an advanced direct load control (ADLC) method that does not cause uncertainty by directly controlling the load so that the power supplier can operate efficiently. As a result, it is shown that by eliminating the duck curve phenomenon, the number of times of starting and stopping the generator is suppressed, so that highly efficient operation can be performed.
