On variances of MAI in a DS/CDMA system: code average versus data average

説明

In this paper we discuss differences between a variance of MAI (multiple access interference) with respect to data symbols, i.e. the AIP (average interference parameter) introduced by Pursley (1977), and one with respect to code symbols. We also give theoretically and experimentally bit error probabilities in asynchronous DS/CDMA systems based on spread-spectrum code sequences generated by Markov information sources. Pursley's even and odd cross-correlation functions are revisited.
