<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Li<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>FeP<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>O<jats:sub>7 </jats:sub>is prepared by solid state reaction of a stoichiometric mixture of Li<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>CO<jats:sub>3</jats:sub>, Fe<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>C<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>O<jats:sub>4</jats:sub>, and (NH<jats:sub>4</jats:sub>)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>HPO<jats:sub>4</jats:sub> (600 °C, 12 h).</jats:p>
