Description
The IllusionHole is an interactive display interface that allows three or more users to simultaneously observe stereoscopic image pairs from their own viewpoints. Such an interface is very powerful for collaborative works. However, whereas the visualization of the data is very good for all the participants, the interaction is sometime limited as no interface has specifically been designed in regard of the system. In this paper, we propose new ideas to facilitate collaborative interaction with the IllusionHole furthermore based on careful studies on collaboration. We first study the characteristics that have to be taken into account for the development of an adapted interface for interaction. From this study, we then propose a new interface based on an interactive ring and a set of mice for efficient collaborative interaction.
