Antenna Applications Based on Waveform-Selective Metasurfaces Varying Time-Domain Responses at the Same Frequency

説明

We demonstrate several examples of antenna applications using recently reported waveform-selective metasurfaces, which vary their electromagnetic responses to an incident wave even at the same frequency, depending on the waveform or pulse width. In this study we specifically use three types of structures, each of which transmits either short, intermediate, or long pulses. They are applied for antenna designs so that a transmitting signal is controlled to communicate with an arbitrary antenna. This study is thus expected to give us a new degree of freedom to design existing antennas operating at the same frequency.
