<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>The deposition behavior of colloids from a flowing suspension onto a solid collector surface infiltration process was observed by conducting column experiments with polystyrene latex particlesand glass beads packed columns. From the observed particle breakthrough curves, single collectorefficiencies were calculated. By comparing the single collector efficiency obtained in the columnexperiment with the existing approximate expression, the effects of flow velocity on the depositionbehavior was discussed.</jats:p>
