説明

Interactions between alkanethiols and gold−dendrimer nanocomposites in ethyl acetate were investigated by adding alkanethiols such as 1-decanethiol and 1,10-decanedithiol into gold−poly(amidoamine)dendrimer nanocomposites. Poly(amidoamine)dendrimers with surface methyl ester groups used were generations of 1.5 and 5.5 (G1.5 and G5.5). The mean particle sizes of gold−dendrimer nanocomposites were about 2.1 nm for G1.5 and 2.4 nm for G5.5. In the case of gold−dendrimer(G1.5) nanocomposites, the addition of 1-decanethiol led to smaller gold particles, while that of 1,10-decanedithiol provided the formation of large, highly regular, spherical clusters with diameters of 40−60 nm. On the other hand, in the case of gold−dendrimer(G5.5) nanocomposites the addition of 1-decanethiol showed a distinct tendency into smaller and larger spheres, whereas that of 1,10-decanedithiol provided irregular spherical clusters with diameters of 30 nm. The mechanisms for morphology changes in the gold−dendrimer nanocomposites by ...
