An Experimental Study of Harmonic Optical Quantizer
Description
We experimentally demonstrated optical quantization with same number of optical filters as the number of bits for equipment reduction. Optical filters were designed to obtain 1-bit optical quantization characteristics that have a harmonic relationship by self- frequency shift due to self-phase modulation. We report the effective number of bits was 2. 8bit in three-bit optical quantization.
