It is known that the head and neck of the human body are comprised of derivatives of the branchial arches and somites, but little attention has been paid to their definitive bounds and their constancy. The present paper thus attempted to consider these problems by observing numerous cadavers donated for student dissection in order to determine the common rule among certain anomalies that exist in many normal examples.ヒトの頭頸部は鰓弓由来成分と体節由来成分が組み合わさって形成されるが、それらの境界線やその安定性はあまり考察の対象にはならなかった。そこで著者は肉眼解剖学的に多数の実習体を観察し、多数例に混じって存在する変異例の中に共通する流れを掴むことによってこれらの問題点の考察を試みた。
