Research Abstract

LIF (Leukemia inhibitory factor)はIL-6ファミリーサイトカインの一つであり、胚細胞、成体細胞で細胞の分化・増殖を調節することが知られている。我々はこれまで、食道扁平上皮癌においてLIFのノックダウンにより食道扁平上皮癌進展が抑制されることを報告した。 本研究ではLIFやIL-6を標的とした治療を開発し、食道扁平上皮癌の予後改善に取り組むことを目的とする。食堂扁平上皮癌において、LIFが周囲の間質にどのような影響を及ぼすかは明らかではない。これらのクロストークを明らかにすることで、LIFを標的とした治療を臨床応用できると考える。
