Research Abstract
近・現代日本において「股旅もの」と呼ばれる「やくざ者」や「博徒」のような社会的逸脱者が旅をするという類型の物語に基づく芸能が、どのように人々に受け入れられたか、また社会の中でどのような役割を果たしてきたのかを、音楽・舞踊を中心にしつつ、近世末期から現代にいたるまでの日本の芸能史を広く視野に入れて解明する。特に、これらの芸能に見られる社会規範の概念、あるいは近代日本の国民文化との関わりといった部分に焦点を当てる。
