Research Abstract

本研究は、「庶民」の多くを占める解放奴隷に焦点を当て、元主人と解放奴隷の関係や解放奴隷を主体とする取引の特徴等を導き、その知見に基づいて、これまでのネガティブな元主人・解放奴隷関係にとらわれず、法と解放奴隷のポジティヴな面も含めた全体像に迫ることを目的とする。この際、法史料のみならず文学史料も渉猟し、かつ国際的な意見交換や共同研究を行なって、研究を学際的・国際的レベルへと引き上げる。
