Research Abstract

高齢女性の閉経は、女性ホルモンの減少による骨量の減少と体重増加を起こす。最近、女性ホルモンの一種であるエストロンE1が、NF-κBシグナルと協調して炎症を亢進させる現象が報告されたことから、1)女性ホルモンによる骨代謝とエネルギー代謝に共通の制御機構の解析、2)卵巣摘出における女性ホルモンとNF-κB間のクロストーク解析、3)骨量減少と体重増加を抑制する薬剤の探索を行う。
