説明

Duple (Cut time =2/2) and quadruple (4/4) metre were strictly codified until the Baroque era. However, after the Romantic era, they were notated arbitrarily. Currently, there is a variety of interpretations, but there is no convincing theory which explains the differences clearly. In this paper, we explore how to explain this problem to school music educators and elementary music theory learners from the aspects of teaching materials, theory and practice.
