Abstract

The purpose of this study is to clarify the relationship between expectations for university life and career paths. The subjects of the survey were first-year university students, and 504 respondents were obtained. The contents of the survey were to set up adaptation to university life and lifestyle habits. Corresponding t-tests were conducted at the time of admission and after admission. Lifestyle habits tend to deteriorate after enrollment. The result was that there was a large gap between the expectations and the reality of university life due to the time and events. Subsequently, a hierarchical multiple regression analysis was conducted, and it was found that the adaptation to university life was influenced not only by the image of university life but also by lifestyle habits. In the future, it will be necessary to change the image of university life before entering the university and to maintain good lifestyle habits.
