Description

Regarding the test of homogeneity of variance based on the F-distribution, there are two methods for accepting or rejecting the null or alternative hypothesis. In this paper, it is shown that there is a case in which the two methods are not equal if the level of significance is an unordinary value (α＝0.98). In ordinary cases of statistical processing, the value of is 0.05 or 0.01. The two methods are equal in such cases.
