Description

An object-oriented program involves dynamically determined elements such as dynamic binding and exception handling. To understand such a system, it is effective to analyze execution traces and show them as sequence diagrams. However, a raw trace including several phases is too large to be tranceformed into a single sequence diagram. In this paper, we propose a method to detect functional division in an execution trace of a program by using a cache algorithm and method call infomation.
