<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Crystal engineering of the <jats:bold>nbo</jats:bold> metal–organic framework (MOF) platform MOF‐505 with a custom‐designed azamacrocycle ligand (1,4,7,10‐tetrazazcyclododecane‐<jats:italic>N</jats:italic>,<jats:italic>N</jats:italic>′,<jats:italic>N</jats:italic>′′,<jats:italic>N</jats:italic>′′′‐tetra‐<jats:italic>p</jats:italic>‐methylbenzoic acid) leads to a high density of well‐oriented Lewis active sites within the cuboctahedral cage in MMCF‐2, [Cu<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>(Cu‐tactmb)(H<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>O)<jats:sub>3</jats:sub>(NO<jats:sub>3</jats:sub>)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>]. This MOF demonstrates high catalytic activity for the chemical fixation of CO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> into cyclic carbonates at room temperature under 1 atm pressure.</jats:p>
