<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>A practical and efficient method for the direct trifluoromethylthiolation of unactivated C(sp<jats:sup>3</jats:sup>)H bonds by AgSCF<jats:sub>3</jats:sub>/K<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>S<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>O<jats:sub>8</jats:sub> under mild conditions is described. The reaction has a good functional‐group tolerance and good selectivity. Initial mechanistic investigations indicate that the reaction may involve a radical process in which K<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>S<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>O<jats:sub>8</jats:sub> plays key roles in both the activation of the C(sp<jats:sup>3</jats:sup>)H bond and the oxidation of AgSCF<jats:sub>3</jats:sub>.</jats:p>
