説明

Abstract The formation of mixed ligand complexes of Fe(HEEDTA) (H 2 O) with thiocyanate, chloride, bromide, and acetate(X), and their application to the spectrophotometric determination of iron(III) are described; 1:1:1 Fe:HEEDTA:X complexes are formed. The stability constants (log K ) of the acetate, thiocyanate, and chloride mixed-ligaad complexes are 1.7, 1.2, and 0.2, respectively, at 25 °C. The thiocyanate complex (λmax, 425 nm) is suitable for the determination of iron(III) (1.6–8.0 μg ml −1 ). The molar absorptivity is 5.7·10 3 l mol −1 cm −1 , but the absorbance is very stable
