Abstract

The website "calil.jp" for library collection search has realized a user-friendly service by integrating collection information of many libraries available on the web by means of web scraping. Library information is incessantly changing due to opening, closure, move or merge of libaries as well as system renewal or other changes in data communication. Calil focuses on timely processing of the changing information for providing as accurate information as possible. The present article summarizes the company's empirical methods for quality of service (QoS) management, and proposes new library services based on data accumulated in the operation.
