Description
A 48-year-old woman presented with erythematous papules with scales showing a linear arrangement on her trunk and extremities of four months duration. Most of the eruptions were seen on areas that had been scratched. A histopathological examination revealed hyperkeratosis, irregular acanthosis, liquefaction degeneration of the basal cell layer and band like infiltration of the lymphocytes in the upper layer of the dermis. We diagnosed this to be a case of lichen planus with prominent Koebner phenomenon. A spontaneous resolution began 14 months after the appearance of eruptions and five months later, the eruptions were found to have completely disappeared.
